What to Expect

Films are grouped into 90-minute blocks, often by genre, ensuring a seamless and immersive experience. While most blocks cater to specific tastes, some defy the mold, offering unique surprises.

• Opening Night: A thrilling mix of genres kicks off the festival, showcasing the vibrant diversity of storytelling.
• “E” for Everyone: Perfect for families, this block features heartwarming tales for all ages at budget-friendly prices.
• Animation: From hand-drawn wonders to cutting-edge CGI, this block celebrates the limitless creativity of animation.
• Documentary: Explore real-life stories and the depth of human experiences in this thought-provoking block.
• International: Travel the globe through compelling stories that offer unique cultural perspectives.
• Comedy: Laugh out loud with a collection of live-action comedic shorts sure to delight audiences.
• Sci-fi/Horror: Dive into thrilling, fantastical worlds where imagination knows no bounds.
• Drama: Experience emotional, thought-provoking storytelling with our Sunday Drama block.
• Florida Flavor: Celebrate the talent of Florida filmmakers and stories from our vibrant community.
• Best of the Fest: Culminating the festival, this block features the winners from each category, with the ultimate Best of the Festival award honoring exceptional artistry.

Screening Schedule:

Thursday, February 4th, 2027:

7:00pm – Partnership with OIF (Orlando Independent Filmmakers) – a free event open to everyone! A great night to learn more about our film festival and the people involved in the industry.

Friday, February 5th, 2027:

7:00 p.m. – Opening Night – A mix of genres providing an example of what’s to come all weekend!

9:00 p.m. – Opening Night Gala – limited availability – A special thank you to our sponsors, volunteers, and filmmakers.

Saturday, February 6th, 2027:

10:30 a.m. – “E” for Everyone – Family-friendly films.

1:00 p.m. – Animation – Any and all forms of animation.

3:00 p.m. – Documentary – Any short documentary.

5:00 p.m. – International – Any International Short Film.

8:00 p.m. – Comedy – Any live-action comedy short.

10:00 p.m. – Sci-fi/Horror – Live-action science-fiction, horror, and fantasy shorts.

Sunday, February 7th, 2027:

1:00 p.m. – Drama – Any live-action short that is not specifically comedy, science-fiction, or horror.

3:00 p.m. – Florida Flavor – Any genre film either made primarily in Florida, or made anywhere by filmmakers that are residents of Florida during the film’s production.

7:00 p.m. – Best of the Fest – Winners from each block will be shown, and the Best of the Festival award will be given as decided by our panel of judges.
