Since its inception, the mission of Love Your Shorts Film Festival has been to
support, promote, and recognize the art of short films and the artists that
make them. One way we pride ourselves in supporting filmmakers is by offering
two different grants for the production of short films. The application on
the following pages can be used to apply for both.
All film projects, regardless of the grant they are applying for, must have a
maximum 30-minute total run time and fit into one of the following Love
Your Shorts genre categories:

Elizabeth Kruckemeyer Film Grant  The Elizabeth Kruckemeyer Film Production Grants are offered by Love Your Shorts Film Festival in memory of the festival’s graphic designer and Facebook administrator. Elizabeth, a professional graphic designer, was a longtime dedicated volunteer whose artwork graced festival posters and other materials, and her social media posts kept festival fans and filmmakers up to date. The Elizabeth Kruckemeyer Film Grants are at least $500 and are awarded to one or more filmmakers for short film projects (30 minutes or less) in any stage after initial concept—pre-production, production, or post-production. | Mute Majesty’s Florida Filmmaker Grant  Mute Majesty Productions is a husband-and-wife team based in Orlando, Florida. As filmmakers and storytellers themselves, they offer this grant to empower those who feel they are otherwise unable to tell the story they dream of telling. This could be due to financial, physical, or cultural limitations. Although Mute Majesty can’t remove all barriers, they hope that this grant will help overcome some adversity. Mute Majesty’s Florida Filmmaker Grant, in the amount of $500, will be awarded to one Florida filmmaker to create a short film (30 minutes or less) that is thought-provoking and story-driven, leaving viewers with a moral or a message. The project must be in the pre-production stage, and a “Florida filmmaker” is anyone with a story to tell who lives in Florida and identifies as a Floridian. |
